Health and Safety Guidelines

Our covid-19 health and safety protocol reflects sunflower's commitment to the physical well-being of our children and school staff members. The measures listed below meet and exceed the current guidelines issued by the Health authorities of Sri Lanka.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping our school community healthy and safe & are very thankful for your support.

Please note: if your child is unwell, kindly take appropriate precautions before bringing them to the school. If you have an adult family member with cough or flu-like symptoms, please take care and stay at home!

General Hygiene protocol

• Wash hands regularly and thoroughly
• Antibacterial hand sanitizer will be available at the school premises
• All members of staff wear masks indoors and also when they are stepping out of their classrooms
• Additional thorough environment cleaning of all (frequently touched) surfaces of indoor play equipment and furniture
• Minimized number of students maintained in all classrooms as regulated by the government

Pick up and drop off

• Children must be dropped off and picked up by only one adult
• Parents must wear mouth masks when entering the school premises for drop off and pick up
• Adults must always maintain a 1.5-meter distance between each other at all times (primarily between staff and parents)
• Parents must try to spend as little time as possible at the school entrance or the surrounding area
